Centex Woodwind Repair is a testament to a lifelong passion for music and a dedication to serving the needs of student band members. I began my journey in instrument repair back in 1975, and it's a passion that has never left me. After serving as an HR Director for many years, I recently retired and decided to return to my first love: woodwind repairs.
My story takes me back to 1974, when I left college to come back home to Temple, Texas. I started managing my wife's uncle's band instrument store and spent several years learning about repairs and instruments. My own six years in the Temple Schools' band program had already instilled a deep love for music and instruments in me.
Now, as a retired HR Director, I'm coming back to the world of woodwind repairs. I want to focus on what I love most, and that's why I'm dedicated to staying in the woodwind repair business. Brass horns like trumpets, trombones, and French horns are not my favorites, so I'm concentrating on woodwinds.
Since I'm retired, my pricing is designed to help students with their musical needs. My aim is to create a new woodwind repair business in Central Texas, specifically for student band members. I work out of my home-based shop, so you won't find a retail store here—just a place dedicated to expert repairs.
I'm a one-man operation, and my small shop at home is where I set out to be of service to band students. I offer services like COA (clean oil adjustment), pad replacement, cork replacement, total repads, and more.
If you're in the Temple, Texas, area and in need of woodwind instrument maintenance or repair, feel free to reach out to me at (254) 624-4423. Your musical journey is important to me, and I'm here to ensure your woodwind instruments receive the care and attention they deserve. Let's keep the music playing.
